Kathy Adelmann is an independent consultant for organizations seeking to
develop or enhance the performance of leaders and their teams. She offers more
than a decade of high-level human resource insight and guidance, from program
design and implementation to executive coaching. Her services touch critical
human resource issues, supporting the capability of leaders and employees to
perform more effectively. Specifically, she helps organizations by:
- providing 360-degree feedback and coaching for new or senior leaders
- helping individuals analyze and discover critical insights from their 360-degree
feedback
- guiding employees to create focused and actionable development plans
- planning and implementing team-building programs
- administering the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) for individuals and teams
Before becoming an independent consultant, Kathy was most recently employed as a
Human Resources Director for Kraft Foods. In this senior generalist role at
corporate headquarters, she established a strong human resource presence and
influence with the function she supported, creating effective HR strategies,
support and controls.
Prior to working at Kraft, Kathy held human resource positions with Philip
Morris U.S.A. in corporate headquarters, sales and manufacturing settings. As
Human Resources Director for the company’s largest manufacturing facility, she
led the human resource function and supported 2,400 salaried and union
employees. An integral member of the plant leadership, she created
organizational capability to support an extensive change effort focused on
re-engaging the workforce, revitalizing the work environment and establishing a
high-performance work system.
Kathy began her career at General Mills’ corporate headquarters, where she
advanced through successive financial analyst and control positions over four
years.
Kathy received her Master of Arts degree in Industrial Relations from the
University of Minnesota and her Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from
the University of Illinois. She is a trained and qualified administrator for
Profilor and Voices 360-degree feedback tools and the Myers-Briggs Type
Indicator. She also holds a C.P.A. certification.
