Alan is an executive coach who coaches leaders to plan strategically and to take positive, committed, timely action in a fast-paced business environment. Working closely with his clients, Alan assists them and their organizations to reach outstanding levels of success. Alan brings to his clients twenty-five years of experience in marketing, sales, strategic planning and finance leadership positions.
Experience/Background
As a coach, Alan has worked with leaders across a wide variety of industries and organizations. Through individual and group coaching Alan helps drive strategic thinking throughout the organization. He pushes his clients to think ‘outside the box’ and lead with bold, previously unavailable actions. With his creative approach to coaching, Alan’s clients see impactful, often immediate, results.
Prior to coaching, Alan held a number of corporate leadership positions. Most recently, Alan was the President and CEO of a training organization with clients such as Cendant and CNA Insurance, in the real estate and financial service industries. Alan gained solid business experience in Marketing, Strategic Planning and Finance at companies such as Gillette, Bausch & Lomb, Marriott, Chase Lincoln First and Merrill Lynch. Alan understands both the business and the personal development needs of all levels of management. He has experience building, running, and managing companies from the start-up, entrepreneurial phase to Fortune 100.
Alan devotes a quarter of his business week to continued research into the art and science of Coaching, Leadership, and Executive Development, as well as staying current in the newest theories and practices of Strategic Planning, Marketing, Sales and Executive Management.
Education/Professional Achievements
Alan is certified in Leadership Coaching from Georgetown University and is a member of the International Coach Federation holding the PCC designation. Alan is accredited to deliver all of the assessments of the Center for Creative Leadership. Alan is an Adjunct Professor in the Executive Masters in Leadership Program at Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business teaching and coaching in a wide variety of Masters Level and Executive Education Programs. Alan received a B. S. in Economics and an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
