Specialized Professional Competence
B.K. has extensive consulting experience in the areas of change enablement, strategic planning, organization development, and leadership development. Over the last 15 years, he has led three internal consulting organizations (two in large multi-site health care systems and one in a petrochemical company) and Tradewinds Consulting, LLC, a small consultancy which he co-founded in 2001. B.K. has also provided HR leadership to two professional services firms: he served on the HR Management Team of Arthur Andersen Performance & Learning and as a Global HR Leader for Deloitte Consulting. B.K. also has extensive consulting experience in the areas of change enablement, strategic planning, organization development, and leadership development.

Experience/Background
Highlights of B.K’s career include helping to develop and implement a five-year strategic plan for a $6 billion professional services firm; led integration teams for the merger of two oil/gas industry giants; helped develop the consulting framework and a consulting “toolkit" for a leading HR professional services firm; established internal-consulting organizations in two leading health care systems; helped lead an internal-consulting organization within a $40 billion oil and gas company; served as a global HR leader in a top-tier professional services firm; and helped two branches of the military transition through wide-scale (“flag-to-flag”) change.

In 2009, B.K. consulted with Iraq’s Higher Committee for Education Development (HCED) to manage a scholarship program for Iraqi university students and revamp its K-12 and Higher Education system. On this front, B.K. is providing consultation, coaching, and training to the organization’s leadership team. This work is likely to continue in 2010 and B.K. will be returning to Iraq to continue providing his consulting service for StCCG.

B.K. is certified as a Quality Improvement Facilitator and Quality Improvement Tools Instructor by the Juran Institute, a Diagnostic Assessment Center Facilitator by the NC Office of State Personnel, and an Assessment Center Administrator/Facilitator by UNC-Chapel Hill. He is licensed to administer the MBTI family of psychological assessments; he has worked with the MBTI since 1987 and has assessed and provided feedback to more than 3,000 executives and professionals.

Education/Professional Achievements
B.K. earned his Ed.D. with emphasis in management and organization development, from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He earned an M.A. with emphasis in administration, supervision, and higher education, from Appalachian State University. B.K. also has B.A. and A.A.S. degrees and specialty certifications.
