John brings together the unique combination of the business insight of an
Accounting Degree and CPA with the human insight of 18 years of human resources
and worldwide recruiting roles at a large accounting firm. John’s extensive and
varied experiences in the midst of one of the largest professional services
firms, gave him a front row seat to understand the issues, challenges and
opportunities that organizations and individuals face day-to-day.
In addition to John’s close alliance with the St. Charles Consulting Group team
of professionals, he is president of Keynote Concepts, Inc (www.keynoteconcepts.com). As a professional
keynote speaker, John works with organizations that want to build productive
work communities of trust, courage, focus and genuine service. He has addressed
audiences in numerous countries and cultures around the globe including, Europe,
Asia, Australia, and throughout the United States. John is a Past-President of
the National Speakers Association’s Illinois Chapter.
Prior to founding Keynote Concepts, John spent the majority of his career at
Arthur Andersen. His first few years were spent working with firm clients as an
auditor. Later, John re-focused his energy from the firm’s numbers to its
people. Over the course of his Andersen career, John served in several Human
Resource and Recruiting roles, relocating from Memphis to Houston, to
Albuquerque, to Phoenix, and finally to Andersen’s Worldwide Headquarters in
Chicago.
During this time, John developed and delivered many of Arthur Andersen’s courses
and workshops, including the firm’s highly successful Transitions Workshop for
executive hires. He also served on the firm’s worldwide Training Advisory Board
for Practice Management Services. This Board was responsible for providing
training to over 20,000 of the firm’s employees.
