Ellen Johnson is an accomplished Project Manager and
Instructional Design professional with broad experience
working with professional services firms. With over 20
years experience, Ellen has demonstrated proficiency in
project and people management, instructional design and
development, and client relationship management.
Prior to becoming a consultant with the St. Charles
Consulting Group, Ellen was employed as a Project
Manager at Cedar Interactive, a Custom Training
Provider. As a Project Manager Ellen was responsible for
working with key leadership within client organizations
to analyze their needs and recommend the most effective
training solutions. While at Cedar Interactive, Ellen
successfully managed multiple complex projects. This
included the development of a web-based curriculum to
support the launch of two new products in the medical
industry, development of a web-based curriculum for
distributors in the building industry and the
development of a five-day self-directed learning program
for a large government agency.
Prior to Cedar Interactive, Ellen spent 5 years with
ACS, formerly Intellinex, and 5 years with Arthur
Andersen. During her tenure at ACS, Ellen managed the
development and deployment of the Independence Learning
curriculum for a large professional services firm. This
curriculum consisted of 13 web-based courses targeting
US and Global audiences. The US courses were rolled out
to 17,000 learners and the Global courses, some of which
were translated into multiple languages, were rolled out
to 63,000 learners worldwide. This curriculum was
updated yearly to reflect the SEC’s revised rules and
provisions.
During her tenure at Andersen, Ellen consulted with
clients on their learning needs, requirements,
strategies and solutions. As a Senior Manager she
established strong relationships with the clients,
participated in sales calls with clients and conducted
client focused presentations on Andersen’s Learning
solutions, Instructional Design methodology and
Corporate University approach.
Ellen holds a Masters Degree in Instructional Technology
from Northern Illinois University, a Masters Degree in
Educational Psychology, also from Northern Illinois
University, and a Bachelor degree in Education from the
University of Wisconsin Whitewater. She has spoken at
both ISPI and ASTD national conferences.
