Ellen is an accomplished project manager and instructional design professional with broad experience working with professional services firms. With over 20 years of experience, Ellen has demonstrated proficiency in project and people management, instructional design and development, and client relationship management.
Experience/Background
As a consultant with St. Charles Consulting Group (StCCG), Ellen was recently the project manager on a system implementation initiative for a large professional services firm. She developed the design of a blended-learning curriculum that combined elearning, classroom training, and virtual classroom sessions. She led a team of professionals in the development of the curriculum and interfaced with key leadership, delivering the project on time.
Prior to StCCG, Ellen was employed as a Project Manager at Cedar Interactive, a Custom Training Provider. Ellen was responsible for working with key leadership within client organizations to analyze their needs and recommend the most effective training solutions. Ellen successfully managed multiple complex projects. This included the development of multiple web-based curriculums in different industries and the development of a five-day, self-directed learning program for a large government agency.
Ellen also worked with ACS (formerly Intellinex). Ellen managed the development and deployment of the Independence Compliance learning curriculum for a large professional services firm. This curriculum consisted of 13 web-based courses targeting US and global audiences and required yearly updates to reflect the SEC’s revised rules and provisions on auditor independence. Global course offerings were rolled out to 63,000 learners worldwide. Ellen also worked at Arthur Andersen, where she consulted with clients on their learning needs, requirements, strategies and solutions. As a Senior Manager she established strong relationships with clients and conducted client focused presentations on Andersen’s learning solutions, instructional design methodology and corporate education approach to business, technology and risk management at Global 500 organizations.
Education/Professional Achievements
Ellen holds a Masters degree in Instructional Technology and a Masters degree in Educational Psychology, both from Northern Illinois University. She also holds a Bachelors degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater. She has spoken at both ISPI and ASTD national conferences.
