Marty Friedman has 30 years of experience in coaching,
training, and organizational development. He is a
specialist in all aspects of interpersonal
communication, general management skills, and
performance management and evaluation, and has worked
with hundreds of managers and directors in practically
every type of organization. His first coaching clients
were in 1977, when he was an internal consultant in a
large organization.
Marty’s specialty is in management development,
providing practical management solutions to everyday
people problems. He has delivered more than 2,000
management training and teambuilding workshops, and
currently coaches individuals to improve their
relationships and management skills and increase their
self-awareness. Marty has been a regional manager of a
global consulting company where he managed coaching
projects throughout the West, and has owned several
consulting businesses.
Marty’s clients have included Accenture, Group Health,
Gilead Biosciences, Xilinx, CV Therapeutics, Texas
General Land Office, eBay, and Sutter Connect.
Marty has a Master’s Degree in Communication from the
University of Texas. Throughout his long career he has
used many assessment tools, such as the Denison
Leadership 360, the Enneagram, Thomas-Kilman, and BEST
Communication Styles.
Marty Friedman has written and published many books,
articles, and manuals, including “Improving Employee
Performance”, “The Supervisor’s Reference Manual”,
“Hiring a Top Salesperson”, “The Complete Book of
Interviewing Questions”, and “Straight Answers to 101
Questions Managers Ask”. He is also the author of the
new book, “Straight Talk for Men About Marriage: What
Men Need to Know About Marriage (And What Women Need to
Know About Men)”. Since that book was released he has
been interviewed by dozens of radio, TV and print
outlets on his expertise of relationships between men
and women.
