 Michael is based in the San Jose office of StCCG.
Michael specializes in helping corporate clients address
needs around Strategy Development, Conflict Resolution &
Team Development.
Michael was a Director at Workpath Group for 3 years
prior to the merger with StCCG.
Prior to that, Michael was a Vice President of
Organizational Consulting with Right Management
Consultants. Michael was also the Principal and Founder
of Pacific Performance Alliance, an organization
comprised of independent consultants and Stanford
University Engineering professors focused on developing
high performing management teams. Michael began his
consulting career as an instructor and business
development manager for the corporate training programs
at Outward Bound, where he worked delivering
experiential leadership development curriculums for such
clients as Coca-Cola, Home Depot, and Cox Enterprises.
Most recently Michael has consulted to key executives at
Cypress Semiconductor, Symantec, Barclays Global
Investors, Citibank, Hewlett Packard, Autodesk, Seagate,
Technologies, Assante, & Union College. He has
facilitated multinational executive teams through the
process of making strategic choices to enhance their
products and services, built and delivered mentoring and
team development programs and assisted globally
dispersed teams in conflict. A sample of engagements:
- In high tech he has facilitated a national sales
team through the process of gaining alignment on
mission, metrics and strategic choices for both
mature and growth stage products.
- In high tech he helped a contract negotiations
team to resolve deep personal issues around trust
and cooperation so to be able to effectively assist
the closing of multi-million dollar sales
opportunities.
- Within the sports entertainment arena he
facilitated the initial merger and agreements
process of the 25 largest independently owned sport
agency & entertainment business services firms in
the U.S. & Canada.
- Within academia he helped faculty to dissolve
the second oldest civil engineering program in the
country and helped frame the case for re-directing
scare resources to a new curriculum design and
major.
Michael’s operational experience comes from his first
career as a Production Manager for Bill Cosby and Carsey
Werner Productions and later for NBC Sports and Turner
Broadcasting, where he managed the budgets and logistics
for such events as the NBA Championships, World Cup
Soccer, and The Olympic Games.
Michael is certified in multiple 360 instruments and the
Birkman Method for coaching and development. Michael is
co-President of the Northern California Chapter of the
Association for Strategic Planning and is a volunteer
with Junior Achievement. He has an M.B.A. with a focus
on strategic leadership from Dominican University and
earned a Bachelor’s with a concentration in Business
Administration from Temple University in Philadelphia.
