Mary Jo Hazard

Mary Jo is president of Carpe Diem Coaching, a consultancy providing Leadership and Organization Development services. With over twenty years experience as manager, consultant, corporate educator and coach, she posts a consistent track record of helping a variety of organizations reach their strategic objectives by enhancing executive performance and creating a change-adept workforce. Mary Jo’s forte is coaching powerful, results-driven executives who seek to enhance their corporate performance by sharpening their Emotional Intelligence skills. Successful coaching scenarios include:

  • Coaching multiple technology partners in a consulting firm to shift the culture by being coaches in the workplace, not only managers. She utilized a coaching model of assessment, goal-setting, observation, feedback, and performance-based coaching. Once coaching was completed, partners gave unsolicited feedback during future client engagements on how effectively their learning impacted performance.
     
  • Coaching a Chief Operations Officer in healthcare to address budgetary issues by forming strategic alliances with key groups of cardiologists. The organization is in the black for three months running for the first time in two years.

She is a qualified interpreter of the Myers-Briggs, FIRO-B, Team Management System’s 360 assessment, and the Hay Group Emotional Competence Inventory.
