Robert Hiebeler (co-founder)

Bob is a co-founder of the St. Charles Consulting Group, LLC, (StCCG), and leads its services to clients in the areas of knowledge sharing solutions, process architecture and common process design and development, and other enabling solutions to support client core business strategies. Bob brings to StCCG over 30 years of experience and client service in the broad fields of knowledge management, business process design, and implementation of organizational change.

Over the past 5 years, Bob has led the design and development of numerous complex client assignments involving process design and knowledge sharing in such areas as: new product development, supply chain, finance, human resources, customer service, and key customer account management. He has also supported client Six Sigma teams in the design and implementation of comprehensive process architectures, methodologies and training.

Prior to co-founding StCCG in 2002, Bob was a senior partner with Arthur Andersen, with firm-wide leadership positions in knowledge management, common process implementation and best practices solutions. At Andersen, he led 4 world-wide implementation initiatives in knowledge sharing and best practices.

Over the years, Bob has developed numerous thought leadership concepts and models in the field of knowledge management and best practices. He has created comprehensive Knowledge Management Assessment Tools, and helped create (with the American Productivity and Quality Center) the Universal Process Classification Scheme, which has for years been recognized as an industry standard for establishing a common process view of business.

Bob led the creation and deployment of Andersen’s Global Best Practices, an award-winning compendium of over 2000 best practices and best company information for 100 management and operating processes. The system’s knowledge was drawn from a continuous search of published articles and studies, input from the firm’s process experts, interviews with leading best practice companies and client experiences.

Bob is also an author of a best selling book, Best Practices, Building your business with Customer-focused solutions, as well as been featured in numerous print publications including the New York Times, CFO Magazine, CIO Magazine, and Industry Week. He has given numerous speeches on knowledge sharing and process design.
