Jon is an accounting, legal and learning professional with over 29 years experience providing services to C-level clientele. Most recently, Jon was a senior Partner at Arthur Andersen and the Managing Partner of Arthur Andersen Performance and Learning (AAPL) where he directed over 400 learning professionals with an annual training budget in excess of $200 million. Jon was responsible for providing training solutions to all Andersen employees on a worldwide basis.

Prior to assuming the role at AAPL, Jon served as Managing Partner of Worldwide Tax Training for Andersen. In this role, Jon oversaw the professional development of Andersen’s worldwide tax professionals. Some of the most notable accomplishments during his tenure include: creation of The Business Advisory Development Program for Senior Managers – a program designed to expand their business advisory and leadership skills on a cross-cultural, global basis; implemented a new tax training curriculum in the U.S.; expanded the multi-national cross border training opportunities for firm personnel; and created a global Tax Training Advisory Committee which coordinated all of the firm’s training opportunities on a global basis.

In 1994, Jon created TaxWorks™, an interactive learning experience for Tax Directors. This unique experience enabled Tax Directors to create what their organization would be in 15 years based on “best practices” and their unique organizational needs and outlined the steps needed to move their organization from its current state to the desired future state. It received wide acclaim for being a creative, innovative and practical learning and change solution for Tax Directors to add value to their organizations.

From 1973 to 1992, Jon was a Senior Tax consultant specializing in multi-national Taxation. He was a member of Andersen’s International Tax and Family Wealth Planning Specialty Teams. His clients included large multi-national manufacturing and service corporations and closely-held companies. He has had extensive experience in negotiating with governmental taxing agencies around the world.

In addition to actively participating in the St. Charles Consulting Group team, Jon is the Managing Director of the St. Charles Learning Community. This Community is a membership network for recognized leaders in designing, developing and managing organizational transformation and human performance. It currently has over 100 active members possessing a wide range of deep skills.

Jon is a CPA and has BA, MBA and JD degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is a frequent speaker and instructor on both tax and educational/training topics.
